Censorship isn't the only major thing that's changed Grand City. There are also the three symbols that people are given to when they go to the Symbol Ritual. But we need to get something out of the way before we get to the symbols - the birth number. When a citizen of Grand City is born, a Justice Police gives the baby a number to identify them later on in life. For example... Matt Henx, a man who is spoken about in the introduction, was #134,849. Interesting bit of trivia, no? This birth number also serves another purpose, for when you go to the Symbol Ritual, the person who performs it will check your number and see if there is a 'mark of a symbol' on it. If the person performing the ritual finds a mark on it similar to that of one of the symbols, you are given a tattoo somewhere on your body that shows which symbol you have. (Note: There's more spiritual stuff involved in this, but if I go too far into it right now, I'll end up hurting my head and probably make this longer then it needs to be right now.)

A few things that need to be explained though. Out of everyone in Grand City, 85% of them do not get symbols. Making only 15% of the citizens in Grand City that have symbols. A rumor that has been spreading around is that a certain symbol may be passed down by genes. There are also a few rules to the Symbol Ritual now. The first is that no one over 28 can get performed on during the Symbol Ritual - they must be observers. The second one is that a person is only allowed to go to a Symbol Ritual three times, if they go over this and refuse to leave, they will be taken away by the Justice Police. The last thing to note of is that a person may not always get the symbol they most desire. So when you join, you can put down what symbol you would like in your character's profile. You can also tell me in private what symbol you'd like, or you can take a chance and see what symbol you may be given in the RP. Oh... I almost forgot. You also may not get a symbol at all. Just saying~

The Dragon Symbol:
An ominous mark that symbolizes the evil intentions of mankind. The Dragon Symbol is looked upon as the evil of the three, and all who are said to have this mark will become bad people. Those with this symbol are most likely looked upon as traitors, outcasts or otherwise.

The Turtle Symbol:
A peaceful mark that symbolizes the good in one's heart. The Turtle Symbol is looked upon as the hope of the three, and those who have it are said to be destined for great things. Those with this symbol are more then often looked up to, greatly respected and will be looked upon when trouble comes near.

The Question Mark Symbol:
A mysterious mark that symbolizes the uncertainty of a person. The Question Mark Symbol is looked upon as the oddball of the three. Those who have it are said to be either very cunning, very stupid or very secretive. Oddly enough, it is the rarest of the three symbols, and those who have this are looked at with confusion and will be often asked whether they can be trusted or not. Rumor has it those with this symbol are said to be cursed, others say those with this symbol are destined for higher things.
